The Live Workshop
In this 3-day live, action-packed event, we’re going to bust through the top three things that are holding you back from getting the clients you want. The clients that value your work and will use it to make a difference in their lives and businesses. Here’s what we’ll be covering:
DAY 0: GET READY
Before the live event starts, there’s some stuff you need to know. First, it’s vital that you understand what sets you and your business apart from all the other designers out there, so you’ll receive some resources to help you figure it out ahead of time. That way, you can come into the first day of the live event knowing exactly what sets you apart from the competition and put it in action on your website.
And second, when you offer strategic websites that are meant to get your clients results, you end up making some pretty big promises. Before we get started I’ll also remind you of a couple important pieces you need in your contract to keep yourself safe.
Day 1: Attract clients who value strategy
Here’s when the live event starts and where the real fun begins. You already know how to bring clients in the door, but now you’re ready for clients who care about more than just a pretty website. They’re not always the easiest to attract, but in Day 1 we’ll go over how you can use your blog and social media content to draw those people in.
We’ll also talk about how you can explain the value of a strategic design without using the word “strategy” - since that probably means nothing to most of your clients.
Day 2: Craft the perfect homepage
Your homepage is one of the first steps of a very important journey that potential clients will take (as well as those that you don’t want to work with). Even in today’s world, where most people find websites through blog posts on social media, your homepage still plays a huge role in the first steps for your new website visitors.
In Day 2 we’ll go over how you can use your homepage to start your visitors on a journey to lead them to your strategic design services. You’ll come out of it knowing exactly what options you should present so you’re not trying to move people along too fast, but are getting them interested at the level they’re ready for.
Day 3: Improve your services page
Your Services page is where the real magic happens, right? A potential client has gotten familiar with you, your content, and your work and now they’re interested in working with you. But right now, your Services page isn’t quite pulling it’s weight.
In Day 3 we’ll go from attracting clients who don’t care about results to clients who value the effectiveness of their website and all the time and effort you put into it. You’ll come out of it with a Services page that works for you and attracts exactly who you want it to.
HERE'S HOW IT'S GONNA GO DOWN...
This workshop isn’t like any other you’ve attended before. I’m not a fan of people consuming content and then letting it sit in their heads without ever taking action. Because of that, here’s how each day will be formatted:
Part 1: Content
In the first 30-60 minutes each day, we’ll go through all of the content I’ve got on the topic. You’ll be able to see slides as well as my face to make sure you’re getting content in the way that you learn from best. You’ll have a workbook to take notes on and your own copy of the slides.
In this section, you’ll also have several chances to ask questions to make sure that everything is as clear as it can be and you’re ready to put it into action.
Part 2: Take Action
Next comes the portion where you get to take action. Remember how I said I don’t like content sitting in your head forever and ever? Well that’s not going to happen here.
After the content is delivered and you’ve asked all your questions, you’ll have 30-90 minutes to take action and implement what you’ve learned on your website, improving it right away.
No more sitting and wishing you had time to improve your website. It’s built in and you’ll be able to start seeing returns that very same day.
Part 3: Regroup + 1:1 Feedback
After you’ve had a chance to take action and implement what you’ve learned on your own website, we’ll all come back together and regroup. You’ll be able to ask any follow-up questions you had while working on your website.
You’ll also have the opportunity to send a link my way so I can jump in and give you 1:1 feedback on the work you did and anything you can do to make even more improvements. No questions will be left unanswered.
Because of this, I’m capping enrollment at 15. That way, this last section won’t go on for hours and hours and I can spent several minutes giving each of you thoughtful 1:1 feedback and advice.

WHEN WILL IT ALL BE HAPPENING?
The live event will take place May 15, 17, and 19. This will give you time to plan ahead, get things done ahead of time and clear your calendar for a few hours each day.
The exact time is yet to be decided. Everyone who is involved will have a say in the time. If the chosen time isn’t when you’re available, don’t worry, I’ll be available for questions at two other times throughout the day for those of you who work at different times or live in different timezones.
